The SEPA Directory, a service by Logica and powered by CB.Net Ltd, is an innovative new resource designed to helps to reduce the costs and risks in transaction processing within the Single Euro Payments.
CB.Net is the official provider of the European Payments Council SEPA Register of Participants and the Euro Banking Association Priority Payments Scheme Central Repository which will also be incorporated in The S�PA Directory (this data will be available from the launch of the respective schemes in the autumn of 2007)
The SEPA Directory has two areas:
- a free SEPA resource area.
- web query tool for investigating payment instructions
The SEPA Directory Web Query Tool contains:
- IBAN validation
- linking from IBAN to payment BIC
- Bank office contact details
- Payment BIC details for SEPA banks
- Official EPC SEPA Register of Participants (available from scheme launch)
- EBA Priority Payments Scheme Central Repository (available from scheme launch)
The SEPA Directory Web Query Tool will help users to:
- route payments cost-effectively
- check the compliance status of counterparties
- enhance and repair payment instructions
